Chocolate Chip Cookies

The classic indulgent sin for your inner beast.

Ingredients

Metric by Weight
  • 200g sugar
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 200g (2 Sticks) of butter
  • 4g of baking soda
  • 8g of salt
  • 4g of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 17g chocolate chips
  • 540g of flour
Imperial
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips (usually about 1/2 the bag)
    (2 cups if you want more chips per bite)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F
  2. "Cream" the butter by mixing it with sugars and vanilla until "fluffy"
  3. While mixing, add in the baking soda and salt
  4. Mix in the eggs
  5. Gradually mix in the flour
  6. Mix in the chips
  7. Drop 12 rounded kitchen spoonfuls of dough onto a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart
  8. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes
